Full description

Ensures financial accuracy, operational compliance, and vendor accountability across the healthcare ecosystem. Primarily responsible for intake, audit, and validation of complex vendor price files. Coordinates with internal and external teams to ensure contract data accuracy within the institution’s Item Master and GPO files. Identifies areas for contract savings or price optimization, and ensures all contract terms are strictly met.

Responsibilities

  • Ingests, validates, and standardizes vendor pricing files across assigned contracts to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Audits, analyzes, and reconciles vendor price changes against contract baselines to identify discrepancies, overcharges, and unauthorized increases.
  • Automates and streamlines data validation processes to detect missing metadata, unit-of-measure errors, and pricing inconsistencies prior to system integration.
  • Maintains and executes SQL-based data loads and updates, ensuring accurate pricing information within GPO and ERP systems.
  • Develops and supports Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions that enhance organizational visibility and decision-making.
  • Monitors and assesses contract performance, expiration timelines, amendments, rebates, and pricing updates to maintain contract compliance and value.
  • Identifies and recommends cost-saving opportunities through analytics, contract utilization reviews, and vendor performance evaluations.
  • Establishes and reviews key performance metrics and financial impact reports to measure pricing accuracy, savings, and operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinates and resolves vendor and stakeholder inquiries by delivering analytical support, facilitating issue resolution, and providing actionable business insights.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Fundamental knowledge with project/program management, contract negotiation, purchasing and full-cycle procurement processes
  • Experience working within hospital systems or large healthcare GPOs (Group Purchasing Organizations).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tracking tools to support reporting, maintain logs, and monitor contract activity
  • Ability to operate in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Strong multitasking with the attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate and support operational initiatives to meet or exceed service standards and expectations in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Proven ability to work across departments, quickly establishing rapport and cooperation with academic and administrative personnel.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing with internal/external contacts concerning contracting and purchasing.
