Requirements

Candidates must hold at least a degree in Finance, Economics, or Investments and possess a minimum of one year of experience in financial services. A CFA charter or candidacy is considered an advantage, alongside strong analytical and communication skills.

Full description

Duties will include:

  • Assess macroeconomic and market conditions and evaluate their impact on investment portfolios;
  • Assist the Fund/Portfolio Manager in investment decisions, including portfolio construction and asset allocation;
  • Conduct detailed credit analysis (macro and issuer-level) and financial modelling;
  • Prepare and present investment proposals and recommendations;
  • Support portfolio construction, monitoring, and performance analysis;
  • Ensure timely and accurate client reporting and respond to investor queries;
  • Liaise on and follow up on investment transactions and dossiers;
  • Contribute to the development of new investment ideas, strategies, and products;
  • Support business development initiatives through research and technical input;
  • Stay abreast of market trends, economic developments, and new financial instruments; and
  • Any other cognate duties.

The ideal candidate should possess the following profile:

  • At least a degree in Finance / Economics / Investments from a recognised university;
  • Minimum 1 year experience in financial services or investment analysis;
  • CFA charterholder, candidate, or holder of another relevant professional qualification in investments is an advantage;
  • Solid understanding of investment and economic theory;
  • Good credit analytical skills with excellent written and oral presentation skills;
  • Pleasant personality with good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Dynamic and motivated team player able to work under pressure.
