Full description

Verda is reimagining cloud infrastructure for AI workloads. We're building one of Europe's next-generation AI cloud platforms from the ground up, designing, deploying, and operating GPU infrastructure for large-scale AI training and inference.

Join Verda while it's still being built - not once it's finished.

About the role

As a Network Implementation Engineer, you will lead the technical delivery of Verda's datacenter network deployments, turning network designs into production-ready infrastructure.

Working across modern multi-vendor environments, including Arista, Nokia, Juniper, SONiC, and NVIDIA platforms, you'll own the commissioning, validation, and handover of new AI infrastructure. You'll be the technical lead during deployments, ensuring every site is delivered to the highest standards and ready for production from day one.

Your responsibilities

  • Convert approved design packages into detailed, site-specific build plans - network diagrams, full cable portmaps, ZTP-ready configuration generation, and management IP allocation for every element.
  • Execute device commissioning via ZTP and config loading; validate physical infrastructure including floorplans, rack elevations, optics, cabling and power budgets.
  • Run formal validation and benchmarking, including cable validation and NCCL/RCCL fabric acceptance tests, to produce sign-off-ready results.
  • Direct on-site activity during builds, coordinating with DC Physical Infrastructure teams on rack/stack QA, cabling and port maps.
  • Produce complete handover packages, acceptance results, as-built diagrams, updated DCIM/NetBox/IPAM records, known issues and deviations, and support Operations through commissioning and go-live.
  • Deliver CapEx-add projects for data centre, peering and WAN growth, plus controlled decommissioning of retired capacity.
  • Guard against undocumented customisations, and feed deployment lessons learned back into Architecture & NPI standards and templates.

Your key competencies

  • Experience commissioning datacenter networking infrastructure in production environments
  • Strong understanding of high-speed Ethernet and InfiniBand networking, including modern optics and AI networking technologies
  • Experience with zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), configuration deployment, and production bring-up
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-vendor networking environments
  • Experience producing accurate deployment documentation, port maps, and infrastructure records
  • Familiarity with DCIM/IPAM platforms such as NetBox
  • Ability to coordinate technical delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and structured approach to validation and quality assurance

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI or HPC networking environments, including RoCEv2, InfiniBand, NCCL, or RCCL
  • Familiarity with BGP-EVPN/VXLAN datacenter architectures
  • Experience working with automated provisioning pipelines and infrastructure automation
  • Experience coordinating vendors, delivery schedules, and datacenter deployments
  • Experience supporting GPU infrastructure or hyperscale environments

Practicalities

  • Location: Helsinki, Finland (3 days per week in the office) or Remote within the EU
  • Employment type: Full-time and permanent
