Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer Intern on the Berkley Technology Services (BTS) Berkley Data Warehouse Team, you’ll partner directly with a team of highly experienced data warehouse engineers and architects. You’ll gain hands-on experience related to the Berkley data warehouse. Key functions will include but are not limited to:
- Develop ETL processes using DataStage or SSIS
- Develop and utilize Tidal Enterprise Scheduler workflows
- Develop MSSQL/Azure SQL statements and or stored procedures
- Develop understanding of insurance, reinsurance, and financial data
- Assist with implementation and management of UiPath Orchestrator, Automation Hub, and Task Mining
- Assist with implementation and management of DataStage, SSIS, Redgate,Fivetran
- Collaborate with peer technical teams
- Collaborate with Operating Units
Qualifications
- At least three years of college or university coursework completed; preference is for some coursework related to computer science or similar area of study
- Prior related co-op, internship, and/or on or off-campus technical experience preferred but not required
- Previous exposure to RDBMS solutions (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.) is a plus
- Experience leading group projects in a classroom, internship/co-op, and/or professional setting is a plus
- Understanding of RESTful API
