Purpose

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for possessing deep knowledge of systems, scripting, as well as systems engineering capabilities to augment the DevOps skills.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and maintain applications in line with defined objectives, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define hardware and network requirements and address technical challenges effectively.
  • Participate in the testing, evaluation, and implementation of new software and applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration between systems, define technical standards, and prioritize project activities according to business needs.
  • Monitor application security, review relevant log files, and investigate potential risks or incidents.
  • Act as a technical lead for small- to medium-sized projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with system standards.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to support decisions on performance, capacity, availability, and fault tolerance.
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide training and support, enabling users and teams to work with greater confidence and self-sufficiency.

What you need to have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline will be considered an asset.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of professional experience in IT applications, application administration, or a related area.
  • Sound knowledge of DevOps practices, release management, application development, the software development lifecycle, continuous integration, and software configuration.
  • Experience with incident management, application development tools, and Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of project management, cloud computing, IT operations, and infrastructure.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Learning agility, sound decision-making, and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Understanding of change management principles.
