Our Mission

Join us in reshaping global trade in a fast-growing startup! We are traide AI – a VC-backed, B2B deep tech startup based in Berlin, using AI to solve one of the most overlooked yet critical challenges in international trade: compliance. Our software automates product classification, reduces regulatory errors, and helps customers save up to 83% of their time on a process that is critical to get right.  Trusted by leading brands like BMW, RIMOWA, OBI, Edeka, we've achieved 3x growth over the past 12 months – and we're just getting started. Your tasks

  • Own the full loop. Take a user problem from rough idea to shipped interface: partner or write the brief, design the flow, prototype it, partner with engineering, ship it with as few handoffs as possible.
  • Use AI as a force multiplier. Explore and prototype with AI tools, Figma, or code, whatever gets there fastest. Your taste is the editorial layer: you know when AI-generated UI is wrong even when it looks right, and you fix it.
  • Solve from first principles. Reason about the right interaction for the user problem instead of reaching for a component library.
  • Sweat the final 10%. Craft the details others miss, the ones that make a compliance product feel trustworthy.
  • Work in small, focused pods. No layers, no waiting. You'll work closely with two or three others who share the same model.
  • Be accountable to outcomes. Know the metric your team is moving. Measure your week by what changed for users, not by screens delivered.
  • Stretch beyond design. Read the API spec, engage users directly, build in code when it's faster than Figma.

Who we’re looking for

Craft is the baseline here, not a nice-to-have. What sets you apart is range and judgment: you know what good looks like, you know when something looks right but feels wrong, and you can get a team there with you.• Fluency in English (C1+) is required. German (C1) is a plus, but not a must-have.

  • Genuine design craft with a track record: you've shipped interfaces real users navigated without explanation, and you can point to the metric that moved.
  • Strong visual sensibility, high standards, and an eye for detail.
  • Range across Design, Product, and Engineering: you've gone from user problem to testable prototype without waiting for a brief, and used AI coding tools to build something real. You're not dependent on an engineer to realize your vision.
  • You've built personal AI workflows that make you meaningfully faster, and you know when to trust, edit, or reject AI output.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity: you ship, collect signal, and iterate rather than waiting for full clarity.
  • You are excited to show your work (portfolio or examples).
  • Ideally you've worked on products where getting it wrong has real consequences (fintech, healthtech, logistics, compliance), but that's not a must-have.
  • Berlin-based or willing to relocate.

This role is not for you if…• You want a PM to define the problem and an engineer to implement the solution.

  • You resist working in code or with AI.
  • You hand off polished Figma files and believe your job is done.
  • You judge yourself on taste alone, not outcomes.

Interview process:

  • First Call — Intro on what we do with Max (Hiring manager)
  • Second Call — Portfolio walkthrough with Sebastian (Designer)
  • Third Call — Get to know our product and culture with our Product team (group call)
  • On-site Day — Meet our team in our Berlin office and work on a real problem together with us.
  • (Potentially) quick ,,vibe check'' call- with founder (Leonie or Hendrik)
