You'll be the first Product Analyst on our Product team, which means this role is as much about building as it is about analyzing. There's no inherited dashboard or playbook: you'll define what "good" looks like from scratch, for a product that's genuinely complex on the technical level. Own the data and analysis behind our core product, and use it to help the team move from gut-feel to real decisions. This is a rare seat: close enough to the business to see what actually matters, and technical enough to prove it with data instead of opinions.
Your Chain of Impact:
- Build the analytics function from the ground up as the first Product Analyst on the team- there's no inherited dashboard or process; you decide what gets built and why.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering as the data focal point for product decisions, helping the team move from gut-feel to data-backed calls on what to prioritize and build next.
- Go deep technically: this is a genuinely complex, technical product, and getting to a real answer means understanding the system itself
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to translate usage patterns into the business case that wins renewals and closes deals.
- Analyze how customers actually use the product -adoption, usage, and drop-off patterns that tell us what's working and what isn't.
- Build and maintain the analytical foundations — tracking, events, funnels, and data processes — that the rest of the team will build on.
- Support strategic decision-making through data analysis, forecasting, and performance monitoring, and grow your scope over time as the foundation you build becomes the backbone every product team at Blockaid leans on.
Requirements
Your Chain of Strengths:
- 3+ years in product analytics, ideally at a SaaS company.
- Strong SQL and Python for analysis and automation.
- Real product analytics chops — funnels, retention, experimentation, segmentation. You can explain when not to A/B test as well as when to.
- Experience working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong business understanding and the ability to translate data into product and business impact.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and work independently.
- Experience with BI tools - advantage.
