The Team: The Commercial Solutions team partners with Sales, Client Support, Legal Operations, Product, and Technology to deliver Salesforce-enabled workflows that support the customer lifecycle. The team focuses on practical, scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Conga, agreements, contract generation, reporting, and related integrations, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and collaborative innovation.
Responsibilities and Impact:
The hands-on Product Owner will be instrumental in delivering impactful Salesforce capabilities across the platform, partnering with diverse stakeholders to drive strategic enhancements from inception to release. This role offers significant exposure to market-leading technologies and cross-functional teams, shaping the future of S&P Global's commercial solutions.
- Manage and refine the Salesforce Platform delivery backlog, including intake, prioritization, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint readiness.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders (Client Support, Legal Operations, Product, Salesforce, Automation, and Technology) to gather requirements, clarify business rules, and align delivery priorities for Salesforce-enabled workflows.
- Support hands-on delivery across the Salesforce Platform, encompassing capabilities such as case management, knowledge, Omnichannel, reporting, workflow automation, and integrations.
- Participate in the full product lifecycle: backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution design, testing, release coordination, and post-release validation, ensuring high-quality, sustainable solutions with an end-to-end view.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, release communications, documentation, training support, and adoption efforts to ensure effective operational systems and processes.
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek individuals who possess a deep understanding of product ownership within a Salesforce ecosystem, coupled with the collaboration and leadership skills essential for a Grade 10 professional at S&P Global.
Basic Required Qualifications:
- An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 3+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or Salesforce platform delivery, with a focus on CRM implementation, commercial, service, or legal operations, or Quote-to-Cash capabilities.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with the Salesforce Platform, including its various clouds (e.g., Service Cloud), reporting, workflow automation, and integrations.
- Proven experience in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, supporting sprint execution, coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating functionality, and preparing for releases.
- Ability to identify and resolve day-to-day problems, take initiative to suggest process improvements, and apply solutions with an end-to-end view across Salesforce systems and processes.
- We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
