Why we exist:

Services shape how we live. Electricity lights up our homes. The Internet opens up our worlds. Cellular phones keep us connected no matter where we are. We take for granted the things we can turn on with the flip of a switch. But when even one of the services we depend on isn’t available, the day can quickly start to go sideways.

For organizations that provide these services, some of the most important work happens in the field — in neighborhoods, across open spaces, and along millions of last miles that criss-cross the country. Every moment of downtime matters, which is why Zinier exists. Zinier empowers organizations to work smarter — from the main office to the field — to solve problems quickly, fix things before they break, and keep people in the rhythm of their days.

To do this, Zinier has created a scalable platform powered by AI-driven insights and intelligent automation that helps field service teams work smarter, better, faster, and more efficiently. We help organizations automate routine tasks so the people in the field can focus on putting their expertise to work. We work with customers in telecom and energy.

We are looking for a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our production environments. You will work closely with engineering teams to streamline deployments, enhance observability, and improve operational excellence through automation.

  • Build and enhance observability solutions using monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting platforms.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms for production systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production incidents, and conduct post-incident reviews.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to resolve infrastructure and application issues.
  • Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

  • Experience managing Amazon EKS clusters in production environments.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, Ansible, or similar).
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Argo CD, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Git-based version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Mimir, OpenTelemetry (OTEL), and alerting platforms.
  • Experience with automation scripting using Bash and/or Python.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, DNS, Load Balancers, Ingress, TLS, and Kubernetes networking.
  • Good understanding of cloud and Kubernetes security practices including IAM, RBAC, encryption, secrets management, and network policies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience using AI-powered developer tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor to improve engineering productivity.

Nice to Have
