Description

Responsible for but not limited to, plan, manage and coordinate the activities in the area of Engineering, Maintenance and Innovations in the business unit, based on the customer requirements, current standards and tools for: Safety, Quality and Engineering in Schnellecke Logistics Alabama.

Requirements

· Adherence to safety principles at all times

· Know and follow standard work procedures and safety rules for all tasks assigned

· Execute the values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, and standards of the organization to achieve the vision of Schnellecke Logistics.

· Apply the procedures in the area of responsibility, to ensure the use of best practices in Schnellecke Logistics.

· Improving business processes, to make robust and efficient processes.

· Develop Lay-outs, material and information flows to meet the customer requirements and optimize use of available resources (internal and external)

· Develop and implement warehouse strategies based on packaging characteristics, consumption, delivery method, etc.

· Elaborate and update manpower file with RTR quantities. Make changes as soon as process changes occur.

· Provide monthly movement quantities as basis for invoicing

· Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

· Direct the application of the Project management methodology in the business unit

Support Lean and Kaizen initiatives in all areas.

· Initiates and manages internal LEAN systems.

· Enforce LEAN principles and culture throughout organization.

· Improving business to make processes robust and efficient.

· Support the development of Training and Lean-Tools and Techniques for those individuals that are involved in Change Processes

· Performs analysis of efficiency data to ensure all process are working to standards.

· Monitor progress toward completion of training goals.

· Manages the Idea Management program which uses ideas from associates to make improvements in the operation and other areas.

· Deficiency analysis, Identification and implementation of process improvement considering customer requirements

· Conduct time studies and upload information into SharePoint system.

· KPI measurement and development

· Coaching and active support of Leadership in all areas of Lean Processes

· Auditing of Lean-Processes and Reporting

· Train all personnel on LEAN culture, Kaizen, Idea Management, and other pertinent areas.

· Work with operations managers and engineering to ensure efficiency reports reflect the workload of each process.

Continuous Improvement of Best Practices.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience

-2 years lean management experience

· Engineering, Planning of Logistics processes, 5 years

· Team Leading, 2 years

- Budget and administration, 2 years

Physical Demand

· Must be able to work in a plant and office environment

· Must be able to be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment and vibration, wet and or humid weather conditions

· Exposure to occasionally loud noise levels

· The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Bending and/or reaching may be required.

Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on Shop Floor to prevent injury to self or others.
