About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Manager, Software Engineering - Platform Services to join our team.

Duties:

  • Lead the delivery of the Platform Services group and oversee engineering execution of platform capabilities.
  • Own the development and delivery of platform features supporting planning, budgeting, reporting, and financial data management.
  • Drive architectural consistency for shared financial data models across the platform.
  • Lead platform migration initiatives using safe deployment strategies, including parallel schemas, feature flags, and phased cutovers.
  • Manage, mentor, coach, and develop software engineers to foster technical growth and high performance.
  • Lead engineering planning, prioritization, and execution to ensure predictable and timely delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement of team processes, incident response procedures, and release readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable platform solutions.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business administration, commerce or engineering is usually required.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including demonstrated success leading engineering teams in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases, particularly in financial, reporting, or ERP systems.
  • Experience designing and developing APIs and integration solutions.
  • Knowledge of data import/export processes and integration patterns.
  • Experience with background processing and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and production support practices.
  • Experience building and supporting multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
  • Knowledge of configurable data models and metadata-driven architectures.
  • Experience using AI-assisted software development tools.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments and delivery practices.

Terms of Employment: Full-Time (FTE)

Location: Calgary Office – 1550 5 Street SW, Suite 300, Calgary, AB T2R 1K3

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Salary: $160,000 CAD per year or $76.92/hour

Language: English
