DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Finance Business Partner in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for various business units.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend reporting to inform business performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather, validate, and document financial and operational data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify, recommend, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop business cases and financial models to support new initiatives, product launches, or strategic projects.
  • Support in facilitating financial review meetings, preparing presentations and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory standards applicable to the Nigerian banking sector.
  • Act as a liaison between finance, IT, risk, and other support departments to resolve issues and drive process improvements.
  • Participate in special assignments and ad hoc projects as directed by the Finance Business Partner and Head of Finance.
  • Identify and collate appropriate data for scorecard generation
  • Cascade the business unit’s budget to the the groups, teams, desks and relationship managers
  • Prepare customer profitability analysis for RMs on request.
  • Track performance effectively.
  • Generate and communicate scorecards to End-Users
  • Assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from Scorecards, MIS, Expense control, Budget of these groups
  • Facilitate robust performance dialogues.
  • Facilitate enlightenment/training sessions on scorecards and other Performance Initiatives.
  • Maintain the Security of all Information entrusted to the staff.
  • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by Business Partner

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Science or Engineering.
  • Master’s Degree/Professional certification in Accounting or Finance (ACA, CIBN or similar professional qualifications).

Experience

  • Experience in MIS (Management Information System).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and leading analytics tools, SQL, etc.
  • Experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience, in MIS, Finance, Forecasting, budgeting or finance role
