About Zippd
Zippd is a fast-growing same-day delivery and logistics company operating a final-mile delivery network across the UK, working with major retail partners. We’re expanding into new UK cities and international markets, and data sits at the heart of how we run the business; from route optimisation and driver performance to billing accuracy and executive reporting.
The Role
We’re looking for a Graduate Data Analyst to join our data function and work directly alongside the Head of Data. This is a hands-on role covering reporting, analytics, and data infrastructure. It’s a genuine opportunity to go beyond viewing dashboards and learn how a live operational data stack is built and maintained.
You’ll start by supporting existing reporting and analysis work, then grow into taking ownership of specific reports, pipelines, and ad hoc analysis as you build context. Over time, this role is intended to reduce key-person risk in the data function by building your own working knowledge of our systems and documentation alongside the Head of Data.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Logical thinker: comfortable breaking down ambiguous problems into clear steps
- Strong with numbers: solid grasp of maths and statistics fundamentals
- Commercially aware: able to connect data findings to what actually matters for the business
- Clear communicator: able to explain findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Able to work from our Manchester Head Office five days a week. This role is fully office-based, with no remote or hybrid working
Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to Python, for example through a degree project, internship, or personal projects; pandas and data manipulation experience is a plus
- Exposure to Power BI or another BI/visualisation tool such as Tableau or Looker
- Familiarity with SQL or a willingness to learn quickly
- A degree in a numerate discipline: Maths, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar, though we care more about how you think than the specific degree title.
- Direct mentorship from the Head of Data, with real ownership of live reporting and analysis from day one
- Exposure to the full data stack, warehousing, pipelines, BI, and executive reporting
- The chance to shape how a growing logistics business uses data as we expand into new UK cities and international markets
- Standard benefits: pension, an additional day off on your birthday.
