Position: Java Development Lead Experience: 6+ Years Location: Chennai Work Mode: 5 Days Work from Office

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Development Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java technologies, application architecture, technical leadership, and team management, with a proven track record of leading development teams and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to best practices.
• Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Java and related technologies.
• Define application architecture, technical design, coding standards, and development frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with security, performance, and quality standards.
• Drive technical decision-making and provide solutions for complex business and technical challenges.
• Manage project deliverables, resource planning, and development timelines.
• Support application modernization initiatives, system integrations, and cloud adoption strategies.
• Ensure continuous improvement through Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Java application development
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Distributed Systems.
• Experience in application architecture, solution design, and framework development.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, object-oriented programming, and enterprise application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
• Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps tools, Git, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, security best practices, and scalability design principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, or other enterprise domains.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience handling multiple projects and distributed development teams.
• Relevant certifications in Java, Cloud, or Architecture will be an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
