Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Product (Trend Strategy) will be responsible for product management and development that enables effective strategy, operation, and implementation of drug cost reduction initiatives. You will assist in the creation and execution of new strategic initiatives, pilots, and products, along with development of detailed strategic analyses and proposals.  

In this role, you will be required to collaborate with multiple stakeholders within CVS Caremark with a focus on successfully launching new strategies and/or products. This will include building strong long-term relationships enabling the organization to meet its specific goals. It is common for this role to work with Operations, Formulary Administration, Medical Affairs, Trade, Legal, Analytics, Sales and many other teams. The environment will be ambiguous and uncertain at times. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in this type of fast-paced environment, with the ability to learn on the fly while understanding and solving new problems. Success will require the ability to swerve quickly, adjust to changing circumstances, and identify creative solutions to brand new challenges. This position reports to Lead Director, PBM Product Administration.  

Required Qualifications

7-10 years relevant work experience required in a setting requiring strong independent ownership and ability to think strategically to identify and improve current work processes/results (such as internal or external management consulting)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Caremark formularies and/or PBM operations will be valued
  • Significant business, strategic and financial acumen
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent requests under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both senior and junior audiences, including influencing executives, presenting to large audiences with lots of questions, and translating complex quantitative considerations to a message that non-quantitative colleagues can easily understand.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a positive attitude and a growth mindset
  • Ability to self-prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders simultaneously, including partners that have conflicting objectives.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related experience.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, or PharmD

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
