To support this, we’re on the hunt for a bold and strategic Senior Product Manager ready to take the reins of a high-performing product portfolio and drive real impact.
What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga
In this role, you’ll be the architect behind compelling propositions and initiatives that grow our customer base, boost profitability, and position us as a leader in New Zealand’s Auto Retail space. You’ll shape product strategy, steer marketing and channel alignment, and lead cross-functional collaboration with our operations & delivery teams. In conjunction with the Head of Product, you will develop and communicate the product strategy including product vision, goals and business objectives. Some of the other focuses of this position are:
- Implement the annual business plan for your product portfolio aligning product partner activities, marketing plans, and channel support to achieve bottom-line performance objectives
- Ensure that product propositions remain compelling and relevant in the market, establishing AA as a leader in Auto Retail in NZ
- Lead assessments into competitive positioning, product pricing and performance metrics to optimise value creation opportunities and ensure that products remain important and meaningful to customers
- Work with the Marketing & Communications team to develop marketing plans that meet the needs of our partners, as well as agreed growth and revenue targets, through acquisition and retention initiatives, partner marketing activity and omni-channel communication strategies
- Partner with relevant teams cross-functionally to deliver and execute all aspects of the product proposition ensuring that compliance with all legal and regulatory standards is achieved
- Accountable for the Product’s commercial performance and the mix of channel use, marketing spend, and pricing to achieve AA’s target outcome
- Support the Head of Mobility Product to prepare annual new business, renewal and revenue forecasts and budgets for your product and channel
- Ensure regular cadence of financial and non-financial reporting requirements, and key internal and external stakeholder meetings
- Lead the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of product processes and system developments
- Oversight of and accountability for delivery of projects and initiatives as identified to drive bottom line performance objectives
About You | Mōu
You’re a strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset and a natural ability to lead, influence and align diverse teams toward shared goals. You’ll bring deep expertise in product, with strong experience with a product you buy digitally but that is delivered in person. Experience working with auto pre purchase inspection products would be highly sought after for this position, though not essential, along with being backed by a relevant qualification in Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
