We are hiring a Senior Security Engineer to lead security engineering for supply chain and logistics software built for a federal health customer. You will own the security design across the product line, set the standards other engineers work to, and carry the technical relationship with the customer's security stakeholders. This is a hands-on senior role, not a management track. This position is fully remote within the United States.

What you will do...

  • Own security architecture across a product line, from design through authorization.
  • Set security engineering standards and review designs against them.
  • Lead assessment and remediation of complex findings spanning multiple teams.
  • Advise on risk decisions and put them in terms the business and the customer can act on.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the security bar across delivery teams.

Minimum qualifications...

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of security engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated ownership of security architecture for a system or product line.
  • Deep experience with federal security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and RMF, including authorization processes.
  • Hands-on cloud security experience (AWS, Azure or hybrid).
  • Experience leading remediation across teams you do not directly manage.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation (Public Trust).

Preferred qualifications...

  • Experience on federal health IT programs.
  • CISSP, CCSP or equivalent senior certification.
  • HIPAA or health data privacy experience.
  • Experience supporting or leading an ATO package.
  • Container and Kubernetes security experience.
  • Incident response leadership experience.
  • Experience working within Agile or SAFe at scale.

The posted range is base annual salary, placement within the range depends on qualifications, relevant experience, and contract requirements.
