Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Job description

• Design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable cloud-based data platforms.

• Architecture and manage data warehouse environments, including databases, schemas, roles, and data-sharing capabilities.

• Develop and optimize data models, and establish data governance, security and data quality frameworks.

• Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources, ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost efficiency.

• Integrate data from various sources, including enterprise systems, APIs, SaaS platforms, and third-party providers.

• Optimize data warehouse performance, query execution, and storage utilization.

• Implement data partitioning, clustering, caching, and workload management standards.

• Define and enforce security standards, access controls, and compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or equivalent major.

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing or related fields.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, with hands-on experience in Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT development.

• Expertise in data governance, data security principles and best practices.

• Familiar with cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure services.

• Strong SQL development skills for complex querying, performance optimization and transformation logic.

• Effective communication in English (intermediate level and above) and Vietnamese.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Preferred qualifications: SnowPro Core, SnowPro Specility, or SnowPro Advanced certification.
