The Product Manager is responsible for managing the performance, competitiveness, and growth of assigned Koroseal product portfolios. This role connects customers, sales, suppliers, marketing, and internal cross-functional teams to translate market needs into clear product strategies and strong execution. The Product Manager owns portfolio financial performance, cost competitiveness, list price, partner relationships, and new product introduction (NPI) execution while serving as a key source of product and market expertise across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Portfolio & Business Performance

  • Portfolio Ownership: Manage assigned product portfolio performance, including financial results, competitiveness, pricing strategy, product mix, and lifecycle decisions.
  • Growth & Profitability: Drive actions that support revenue growth, gross margin dollars, gross margin rate, market share, and overall portfolio value creation.
  • Business Analytics: Use financial, market, customer, and competitive data to identify performance gaps, growth opportunities, pricing actions, and areas requiring corrective action.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Support SKU rationalization, excess and delist decisions, and other portfolio actions that improve focus, profitability, and working capital performance.

2. New Product Introduction & Innovation

  • NPI Execution: Lead cross-functional execution of new product initiatives, ensuring alignment on scope, customer need, value proposition, timing, launch readiness, and business objectives.
  • Voice of Customer: Gather and synthesize customer, sales, industry, and channel input to define unmet needs and guide product development priorities.
  • Value Proposition: Develop clear product positioning and value propositions that articulate why Koroseal solutions matter to customers and how they differentiate in the market.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Design, Supply Chain, and other functions to move initiatives from concept through commercialization.

3. Market, Customer & Competitive Leadership

  • External Focus: Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, customers, competitors, applications, and evolving market needs.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitive offerings, positioning, pricing, and market activity and translate insights into portfolio actions.
  • Industry Engagement: Participate in relevant customer, industry, and market activities to strengthen product knowledge and identify future growth opportunities.
  • Strategic Sales Support: Partner with Sales on key opportunities, customer presentations, product strategy, competitive situations, and strategic selling needs.

4. Vendor, Partner & Product Operations

  • Vendor / Partner Ownership: Manage assigned strategic supplier and partner relationships, including performance, product opportunities, commercial alignment, and issue resolution.
  • Pricing: Support and maintain pricing strategies and actions for assigned products, balancing market competitiveness with profitability objectives.
  • Product Information: Ensure product information, catalog content, item-master data, and SKU activation and maintenance are accurate and current.
  • Product & Sales Support: Provide responsive product expertise and problem-solving support to Sales and internal teams throughout the product lifecycle.

5. Product Marketing & Enablement

  • Product Marketing Support: Partner with Marketing to develop product messaging, launch materials, sales tools, catalog content, and other customer-facing communications.
  • Training & Presentations: Create and deliver customer and sales presentations, product training, and other enablement materials that build confidence and improve market execution.
  • Organizational Connectivity: Serve as a central product link across functions, ensuring teams are aligned on priorities, product changes, launches, and portfolio performance.

Performance Metrics

  • Revenue Growth: Growth of assigned product portfolio revenue.
  • Gross Margin $ Growth: Improvement in gross margin dollars.
  • Gross Margin Rate: Achievement and improvement of portfolio margin-rate %.
  • Market Share: Progress in competitive position and shares were measurable.
  • Value Gap: Identification and closure of portfolio value and competitiveness gaps.
  • Controllable Base Costs: Effective management of costs that can be influenced through product, sourcing, pricing, and portfolio actions.
  • NPI Execution: NPI revenue performance and execution of key launch milestones.
  • Cash / Portfolio Health: Reduction of excess inventory and disciplined delist/lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Product management, product marketing, commercial, sales, or related business experience with demonstrated responsibility for products, customers, markets, or business performance. Ideally, within the wallcoverings, textiles, or luxury home décor.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Design, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of revenue, margin, pricing, costs, portfolio economics, and the commercial levers that drive profitable growth.
  • Analytical Capability: Ability to analyze financial, market, customer, and competitive information and convert insights into clear actions.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand product applications, specifications, performance attributes, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Sales & Marketing Skills: Solid commercial and marketing skills, with the ability to communicate product value effectively to internal and external audiences.
