Employer: Acumen Security, LLC
Job Title: Security Engineer III
Job Location: 2400 Research Blvd., Suite 395, Rockville, MD 20850
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Duties: Serve as the point-of-contact with government in support of Common Criteria certifications (evaluating the security of IT products); Serve as the technical point-of-contact with customers in support of Common Criteria certifications; Develop all reports and required certification documentation; Perform all aspects of testing independently; Create all consulting documentation independently; Lead customer Gap Analysis workshops; Lead internal training activities; Provide both individual and overall lab training and guidance; Review/comment submission-related output from other Engineers; Participate in external technical communities. Requires 5% domestic and international travel. Role is hybrid allowing periodic work from home within a reasonable commuting distance of the Rockville, MD office.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer/Information Science, Information Assurance/Cybersecurity, or related field of study. 3 years of experience as Security Engineer or related role where required experience was gained. Must also have the following skills/experience:
- CVP certification, or ability to obtain CVP within 180 days of employment
- Three (3) years of technical experience in Common Criteria or a related area
- Customer interactions and testing security products
- Understanding and solving technical problems
- Applying standards to different types of technology
- Using security related protocols and their usage (e.g., TLS, SSH, IPsec)
Salary: $150,010-150,011 per year
