About the role:

The Product Developer, Sr is responsible for designing, coding, testing and maintaining company products by participating in all phases of the development process. The Product Developer, Sr works with other areas of the business to provide recommendations and mentors other team members.

Primary function of this role will be to support new Data Plane initiative within Epicor. Responsivities will include designing, developing and owning workflows, front end systems, and platform integration.

What you will do:

  • Designs, develops, refactors, tests, and maintains full-stack applications and framework components.
  • Builds backend services, APIs, and integration layers that support Data Plane and data governance capabilities.
  • Develops frontend features using React and TypeScript for enterprise-scale, data-intensive user experiences.
  • Designs and supports Kafka/Confluent-based event-driven workflows and streaming integrations.
  • Collaborates with architects and product teams on core functionality, technical designs, and implementation plans.
  • Supports data governance use cases such as cataloging, lineage, quality, lifecycle management, consent, and masking.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Strong full-stack development experience using React/TypeScript and backend technologies such as .NET or equivalent.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kafka/Confluent, event-driven architecture, REST APIs, JSON, and data integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases, Azure cloud services, CI/CD, Git, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Ability to build scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise SaaS applications.
  • Exposure to data governance, Snowflake, CDC, data pipelines, or lakehouse technologies is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of applicable full-stack software development experience.
  • 2+ years of specialized experience with Kafka/Confluent, distributed systems, data integration, or cloud-native applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience building data-intensive applications for governance, analytics, metadata management, or enterprise platforms is preferred.
