Full description
Are you interested in cloud architecture and enjoy seeing your designs become reality?
We are looking for a Telco Cloud Architect to join our end-to-end Telco Architecture team at Norlys. The goal is simple: build secure, scalable and future-ready solutions that work for Norlys today and tomorrow.
Planning for what comes next
Our End-to-end Telco Architecture team is part of Telco Architecture & Planning. We work across the organization to make sure our network and platforms are ready for both today’s needs and what is coming next. We are a team of six architects and compliance specialists, working with platform architecture and supplier relationships to test environments and readiness for new features and services.
We are a team of six skilled architects and compliance experts. We lead contract negotiations with platform suppliers, ensure functional test environments, and establish platform readiness to facilitate timely rollout of new features, aligned with business demands and market readiness.
Your role | let’s talk architecture
As a Telco Cloud Architect, you will work across Telco, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, Operations and external partners to turn technical requirements into solutions that can be implemented and operated.
You will help define infrastructure requirements and create end-to-end designs for mobile core, IP/MPLS and customer product platforms.
- Probing & connectivity – management and access, redundancy design and implementation, and enhancements such as authentication and LI masking
- Logging – standardising logging across NCP and working with Cloud Infrastructure and suppliers to ensure the right data is captured for our SIEM
- xNF onboarding – defining requirements for workloads such as Network Manager and SIA in the IP/MPLS domain
- Partner and external vendor landing zones – designing architecture, services and connectivity end-to-end and working with teams and suppliers to bring solutions to life
- SEC GW – advising on network deployment models and working with Operations on NCP KPIs
The role sits between architecture and implementation, so you will not only design solutions – you will follow them through and help make sure they work in practice.
What you bring
You have a technical background and enjoy working across cloud, networking and telecom. You don't need to be an expert in every area, but you should have a solid understanding of several of the technologies and concepts in our environment:
- Kubernetes / OpenShift – understanding of container platforms and their use in cloud environments
- VMware Cloud – experience with VMware Cloud architecture and supporting infrastructure
- Networking – a solid networking background, including BGP and MPLS, and an understanding of routing domains and how Norlys networks fit together
- Security – understanding of security principles and architecture, and the ability to work with Norlys Security teams, partners and suppliers
- 5G Core / NMC – understanding of 5G Core applications and the broader NMC architecture
You should be able to obtain Danish Security Clearance and work from our Copenhagen or Aarhus office several days a week. English is our working language, so you should be comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken. Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
How you work
You like solving complex problems and are comfortable when the answer isn't always obvious. You can troubleshoot across technical domains, understand how they affect each other, and bring the right people together to move an issue forward.
Finally, you enjoy working across teams and with different perspectives. You can create alignment between IP and Cloud Infrastructure, Security, suppliers and management, and drive conversations towards a common goal even without formal decision-making authority. A service-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate are important parts of how you work.
