Position Overview

The System Administrator is responsible for administering, maintaining, securing, and supporting information technology systems in support of an assigned customer contract. This position ensures the availability, performance, and security of contract-specific systems, servers, workstations, networks, and enterprise applications while providing technical support to customer personnel and project stakeholders. The System Administrator collaborates with program management, cybersecurity personnel, engineers, and customer representatives to ensure contractual requirements are met. As business needs evolve, the System Administrator may also support additional Ready 3 programs and internal initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain contract-supported servers, operating systems, applications, and network infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, authentication, and access controls in accordance with customer security requirements.
  • Monitor system health, availability, performance, and storage utilization.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management.
  • Support virtualization platforms, cloud environments, and enterprise infrastructure as required by the contract.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues while minimizing operational downtime.
  • Maintain system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and continuity of operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, configuration baselines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity frameworks, customer policies, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel during vulnerability assessments, audits, inspections, and accreditation activities.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations to program leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Support system integration, technology refresh, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
  • Participate in project planning, technical reviews, and implementation activities.
  • Assist other Ready 3 contracts or internal initiatives as assigned based on operational priorities and workload.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience administering enterprise IT systems.
  • CompTIA Security+ required.
  • Previous project management or technical leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • U.S. citizenship for positions supporting government customers.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. security clearance, when required.
  • Experience with government contracting, aerospace, defense, or advanced technology programs is a plus.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK (in-person required).

Job Type: Full-Time (with 90-day probationary period).

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
