Summary

The Manager Supply Chain is responsible for assisting leadership for supply planning, achievement of optimized operational efficiency, and inventory targets for packaging across the Raw Poultry/IQF Business Unit. This role develops both long-term and short-term strategies for supply/demand balance, packaging inventories, and projects to achieve corporate profit, volume, and market share objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term business objectives and volume plans for assigned categories that align with overall corporate goals.
  • Monitor performance metrics to ensure volume and profit targets are on track and recommend and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze data to identify insights and translate findings into business initiatives and actionable plans that drive results.
  • Develop a strong understanding of and technical competency in Tyson systems and processes, as well as customer packaging systems.
  • Engage and lead cross-functional teams on assigned projects.
  • Establishing capacity/raw material analysis for plant/customer mix relationship.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations to understand and integrate customer strategies into business plans for optimum execution.
  • Proactively partner with Sales and Planning teams to ensure forecast accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing and achieving volume and profit targets.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking skills for actionable business plans
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Tyson systems, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint.
  • Highly self-directed with the ability to work independently while keeping leadership informed of key issues and decisions
