Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in an aerospace machining environment. Candidates must demonstrate mathematical ability and the capacity to interpret technical documents.
Full description
Education & Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and good work ethic
- Minimum one-year work experience in aerospace machining environment, preferably as a machinist or inspector
- Demonstrated mathematical ability
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend technical documents
- Temper inspector must receive Rockwell and conductivity training and pass certification exam
Level II:
- Major Activities Performed and Machines/Tools Used by Job Level
- Performs all major activities identified in Level I
- Uses all tools and machines indicated in Level I
- Reviews and interprets technical customer, supplier and internal documentation for application in the inspection process
- Demonstrated ability to review CMM Reports and interpret them with little assistance
- Demonstrated ability to bench inspect features to correlate CMM results on most part configurations
- Performs all quality inspection functions at a senior level
- Provides guidance to Level I Inspectors as required
