WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated, collaborative and committed individual to fill our Arista Network Engineer position within our Global Network team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about IT and Networking. Working as part of an expanding company, members of the Network Team will have opportunities to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team and can expect to be developed to their maximum of their potential. The role specifically involves working as a Network Engineer Tier III within a Network Engineering Team, supporting a large-scale enterprise network infrastructure for multiple customers.

The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of Arista technologies including Spine and Leaf architecture and CloudVision. You will help develop and understand requirements from internal customers and create technical solutions to improve productivity and services. The candidate must have a strong technical background, be innovative and agile, collaborate well in a team environment, and have very strong written and verbal communication skills – a visionary who challenges the status quo and believes that technologies can level-up productivity.

**This position requires up to 75% travel

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with various network projects across the business:
  • Network refresh
  • New technology deployments
  • Wi-Fi design / troubleshooting
  • SDWAN deployments
  • Cisco DNAC (Catalyst Center) deployments
  • Updating existing network documentation
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
  • Hours: typical range will be Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm with some out of hours work as required.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Experience working with Arista products (Spine and Leaf architecture) in an Enterprise environment, including CloudVision.
  • 5+ years of experience with Layer 2 Switching protocols
  • 5+ years of experience with Layer 3 Routing protocols
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot routing/switching technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP in an enterprise class environment.
  • Strong Wi-Fi experience with troubleshooting and design
  • Experience with SDN and SDWAN deployments would be advantageous.
  • Experience with multiple networking vendors including Cisco, HP, Aruba, Juniper, and Arista
  • Ability to work outside regular working hours as needed by the client, including evenings and weekends.
  • Familiar with generating Bill of Materials and turning designs into implementation.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Arista Certifications
  • Networking Certifications such as CCNP
  • Experience with enterprise environments on a global scale
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Fluent in spoken & written English preferred
