Full description

Emporix is an AI-driven Autonomous Commerce Execution Platform that gives enterprises full control over how their commerce works. It orchestrates operations end-to-end—so companies can scale faster, respond smarter, and deliver better customer experiences.

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer (or a high-potential Mid-level candidate) to join our team in Poland and drive quality assurance and test automation across our software. In this role, you will work across frontend web applications and backend APIs, build robust automation suites, and ensure our cloud-native commerce solution runs flawlessly. If you're passionate about test automation, pipeline quality gates, and building resilient software alongside cross-functional engineering teams, we’d love to hear from you.

You can work from our modern office in Gliwice or remotely from anywhere in Poland, with a visit to the office at least once per month to meet the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Test Automation & Execution: Develop, maintain, and expand automated test suites for our React web applications and REST APIs using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, or Webdriver.io).
  • CI/CD Quality Gates: Integrate automated regression suites directly into CI/CD pipelines following the Practical Test Pyramid to serve as reliable quality gates.
  • Cross-Browser & UI Validation: Test single-page web applications across various breakpoints, devices, and browsers to ensure visual and functional consistency.
  • Agile Collaboration & BDD: Work closely with Product Owners, Dev Leads, and engineering teams in Scrum sprints to write acceptance criteria using BDD (Given-When-Then) formats and validate story completion.
  • Defect Management & Reporting: Verify test failures, build simple test reporting visibility (pass ratios, failing test trends), and raise detailed defect tickets in Jira for rapid resolution.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: You have 3+ to 4+ years of experience in test automation and quality assurance covering both SPA web experiences and REST APIs.
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Tech Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, or Webdriver.io).
  • CI/CD & Pipeline Quality: Experience integrating automated test suites into Git-based CI/CD pipelines to prevent regressions.
  • Agile & BDD: Hands-on experience working in Scrum workflows and writing acceptance criteria in human-readable BDD / Cucumber dialects.
  • Mindset & Precision: Highly detail-oriented with a passion for building stable, reliable, and non-flaky test pipelines.
  • Communication: You communicate effectively in both Polish and English (minimum B2 level).

Bonus Points

  • Cloud Testing Tools: Experience using cloud testing tools such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
  • Architecture: Familiarity with microservices architectures, cloud-native tech stacks, or distributed systems.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • An Amazing Team & Culture (Our Best Asset!): We aim high and build rapidly, but we do it together. You will join an incredible, high-trust, and psychologically safe workplace where people truly care for one another. We collaborate closely, support each other unconditionally, and genuinely have fun doing what we do.
  • Meaningful Impact: You will have a significant role in shaping the future of Emporix, with a high degree of autonomy in your decision-making.
  • Hands-On Innovation: We value creative freedom. You’ll have the opportunity to choose the hardware and tooling that help you achieve the best results.
  • Flexible Work Setup: Enjoy a remote/hybrid work model that promotes flexibility and personal well-being while encouraging collaboration and meaningful team connections. Meet in our Gliwice office at least once a month.

Come as you are: We are building an AI-driven future for commerce, and that requires a variety of perspectives. Emporix is an equal opportunity employer where your collaborative spirit, communication, and pragmatic approach to problem-solving are what matter most. Even if you don’t check every single box, if you're eager to elevate test automation and software quality alongside a supportive team, we’d love to meet you.
