About the role

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will join a global team responsible for supporting the deployment, configuration, and operations of 4DMedical’s software platforms, wherever they may be deployed. While 4DMedical is a cloud-first company, and your primary role will be supporting applications deployed in 4DMedical owned and managed environments in AWS, the role also includes liaising with customers to update and maintain 4DMedical’s software deployed into customer environments. You will join a team within the Software group to develop, monitor, maintain, and support application workflows.

Specific Duties:

  • Support design and implementation of best practice AWS solution architecture, including scalable services, security, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of changes, incident management and non-conformance reporting.
  • Provide operational support to internal and external customers, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring high availability of cloud-based applications and workflows.
  • Assist with deployment, configuration, support, documentation, and monitoring of infrastructure, workflows, and applications across both AWS and on-premises environments, including containerized applications on virtualized servers.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to promote DevOps practices, automate deployment and maintenance processes, and ensure secure, reliable transitions to production environments.
  • Recommend, test, and implement continuous improvements to the 4DMedical cloud environments, including automation, security, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for cloud infrastructure, identify potential threats, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies in alignment with relevant compliance standards.

Experience

  • 3+ years of Cloud/System Administration experience using AWS.
  • Hands on experience with Linux and containerization frameworks such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with deployment automation tools. Experience with Terraform and helm highly valued, experience with other automation tools such as CloudFormation and Ansible desirable.

Qualifications

Mandatory

  • University degree in Information Technology or related.

Desirable

  • AWS certification is desirable, such as Associate-level AWS CloudOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certified Terraform Associate.
