We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager Consumer to join our team.
Your responsibilities
- 1.1Main tasks
- Provide technical and organizational leadership for mechanical engineering activities across the Personal Use Pump portfolio, ensuring robust product design, technology advancement, manufacturability, and lifecycle excellence.
- Provide critical engineering insights during the early concept phase to guide product strategy and feasibility
- Lead assigned new technology development with agency/supplier and archive into innovation pool

- 1.2Supporting task
- Support check and review competitor products, and beneficial with new ideas, which may cover breast pump category, essential products and any other potential mom & baby products
- Support QFD and design review meetings with supplier and internal stakeholders (marketing, process/tooling, sourcing, project manager, etc.) if necessary
- Support process engineering from design area
- Join supplier scouting as engineering expert, support sourcing scout proper supplier
- Support project manager and other internal stakeholders at Realization Stage as product mechanical expert until new product launch
- Draft Patent application for key ideas and support following application with IP team
- Support launched product continuous improvement and cost reduction

- Lead for Concept Design• Lead concept design (with design agency or supplier) including quotation, design, prototyping, test and optimization activities
- Lead discussion with internal stakeholders balancing consumer experience, commercial strategy, technical feasibility, industrial feasibility and potential project scope
- Lead for Product Requirement Specification based on marketing brief, stakeholder requirements in technical language
- Lead DFMEA review with supplier focusing consumer experience and failure at product & production level
- Lead product mechanical design with supplier, turning concept into specific product (including usage evaluation, CMF, vacuum level, pumping curve, etc.)
- Manage product EVT & DVT, include Product Design Verification & Validation with supplier
- Manage/Review test reports at product development stage until design freeze
- Champion cross-departmental collaboration, effectively resolving conflicts between Marketing, Process Engineering, Procurement and Quality teams.
Your qualifications
- 8+ years of applicable working experience in Breast Pump or related Industrial is required,
- Experience of define/review product test requirement, especially customer pain point covered
- Experience of QFD, DFMEA, DFM, DOE is preferred,
- Experience in design related tools of ProE, UG, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Keyshot etc
- Experience in project management, problem solving techniques, analytical and structured approach, team work.
- Experience in working and collaborating with suppliers in terms of product engineering aspects, quality, costs and timing.
- Experience in a healthcare, medical device, with knowledge of ISO 9001/13485 requirements as well as other international standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- With good verbal and written English communication skills.
