Job Description – Junior Backend Java Developer (2+
Years)
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Backend Java Developer with 2+ years of experience to
develop and maintain scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong
foundation in Java, Spring Boot, databases, and cloud technologies, with a willingness to
learn modern software engineering practices and contribute to high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and work with relational and NoSQL databases.
Assist in developing cloud-native applications on AWS and/or GCP.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following coding standards.
Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and technical discussions.
Troubleshoot application issues and support production environments.
Collaborate with senior developers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Java
Strong knowledge of Java (JDK 11/17+), OOP concepts, and design principles.
Spring Framework
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
Databases
Experience with SQL and relational databases; exposure to NoSQL databases is
desirable.
Cloud
Basic knowledge of AWS or GCP services and cloud-native application development.
DevOps
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
concepts is a plus.
Engineering Practices
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of debugging, logging, unit testing, and security best practices.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
