Job Description:

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Financial Analyst with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our FP&A Team. This position partners closely with our Information Technology (IT) Organization, providing in-depth financial support ranging from Budgeting, Forecasting & Actuals Review, software & cloud cost management, to the development of new financial processes. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical thinking capabilities and be able to multitask, prioritize, and proactively provide solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Partner with IT department leaders to investigate and determine root cause of monthly financial variances.
  • Deliver consistent, timely, and accurate month-end close, including journal entries and managing monthly accruals.
  • Own the preparation of the annual operating budget, monthly variance analysis reports, and IT budget benchmarking.
  • Lead monthly finance review meetings for each IT department and cost center, presenting actuals, forecast, and Risks & Opportunities (R&O) to IT leadership.
  • Manage and forecast IT software and SaaS spend, including tracking major vendor renewals and categorizing software line items by department and category.
  • Monitor and forecast cloud consumption and costs, quantifying and clearly communicating risk exposure.
  • Own the IT Capex forecast, partnering with IT leaders on time tracking and capitalizable project work.
  • Build and maintain the IT cost allocation / showback model, partnering with IT to allocate and show back costs to the business to drive value.
  • Analyze and support the timely creation of meaningful ad hoc “what-if” financial analysis.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and develop tools, processes & models to provide meaningful information to internal customers.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous improvement. Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and streamline processes.

The Tools You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Four to six years of experience in an accounting or finance related field.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization (written, verbal, presentation, and listening).
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, with advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Experience with Oracle & CCH Tagetik application considered a plus.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well on diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
