Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules for Thermal Power Plant projects.
- Establish project baselines covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare detailed L1, L2, L3, and L4 schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
- Monitor critical path activities and identify schedule risks and mitigation plans.
- Ensure milestone tracking and timely achievement of project deliverables.
Project Controls & Monitoring
- Implement project control systems for schedule, cost, resource, and progress management.
- Conduct periodic schedule reviews and variance analysis.
- Monitor project performance using KPIs, productivity indicators, and earned value techniques.
- Generate project dashboards and management reports for leadership reviews.
- Provide delay analysis, impact assessment, and recovery planning.
Cost & Resource Management
- Coordinate with project teams for resource planning and deployment.
- Monitor resource utilization and productivity across project phases.
- Support project budgeting, cost forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
- Evaluate resource requirements and optimize project manpower planning.
Progress Measurement & Reporting
- Develop project progress measurement systems.
- Review weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Track engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning progress.
- Provide accurate project forecasts and completion estimates.
- Present project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Risk Management
- Identify project execution risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain project risk registers and monitor mitigation actions.
- Support claims management, schedule impact analysis, and extension of time (EOT) assessments.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve project execution performance.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and project teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning meetings and progress reviews.
- Ensure alignment between site execution plans and project objectives.
- Support management decision-making through data-driven project insights.
Digitalization & Process Improvement
- Drive implementation of planning and project control best practices.
- Develop planning standards, SOPs, and scheduling methodologies.
- Promote digital project monitoring systems and automation tools.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency.
Qualifications
Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering.
