Job Details: Job Location: Redmond Headquarters - Redmond, WA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $72800.00 - $105600.00Salary, About the Position Performs quality assurance activities including assignments of new product developments and sustaining efforts for current Aiphone products with considerable latitude for action and decision making. Responsible for tests, evaluations, and analysis of bug reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Performs new complex product developments including making test plans and performing tests for both software and hardware. This is a hands-on position with focus on QA testing. Writes test plans and test cases from user's point of view based on approved concept design. Performs test and verification to evaluate products and systems. Verifies design documents to ensure the development process is in accordance with the company standards. Analyzes issues from fields and provides engineers with information to fix the issues. Oversees issues, analyzes the trend of issues, and provides Engineering feedback to reduce the issues. Additional Responsibilities include the following: Performs shipping inspections based on the initial failure rates. Verifies quality of manuals and suggests corrections. Assists engineers to provide efficient document control. Provides quality assurance supports to internal and external customers. Prepares guidelines and support by describing operational, testing, troubleshooting methods, and procedures. Updates job knowledge by studying test methodologies, automation, software, and hardware; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Inter-relationship Relationship of position with internal, lateral and external groups. Interacts with co-workers as a team member to understand goals of a team, report progress and issues, obtain expert inputs, and contribute information. Interacts with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers as needed. Interacts with Engineering Manager if any expectations are unclear or assistance is needed to meet job requirements. This position may occasionally require exposure to chemical hazards and to the production site where certain conditions require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses and gloves. Company will provide PPE and training. For the most part, ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. This position may require occasional off-site visits for tests in different locations. Education and Related Experience: Bachelor’s degree in software, computer science, or math is preferred. Minimum 2 years experience in quality assurance. Experience in software development, hardware development, performing product safety tests and/or working on translation is preferred. Familiarity with various testing such as regular case test, irregular case test, test matrix, long-run test, stress test, regression test, and test automation is preferred. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must have strong problem-solving skills and communicate persuasively. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices about engineering such as designing, implementing, testing, analyzing, and documenting and the security industry. Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and computer networks. Has basic knowledge of project management. Steady paced, able to work consistently with many distractions. Must be able to work within a team and independently. Must be able to maintain an organized schedule with competing priorities, executing plans within scheduled deadlines.
