Business Analyst (Remote)

We are currently seeking a Remote Business Analyst to join our Business Operations and Strategy team. This is a full-time remote position responsible for analyzing business processes, evaluating operational performance, developing insights, and supporting data-driven decisions across the organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with leadership, operations teams, finance, technology, and other business units to identify improvement opportunities, analyze trends, and develop solutions that enhance efficiency and business performance. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business processes, workflows, and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Gather, organize, and analyze business data to support strategic decision-making.

Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide actionable insights to leadership.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and recommend effective solutions.

Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

Translate business requirements into clear documentation for technical and operational teams.

Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of business improvement initiatives.

Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance updates.

Create data models, reports, and business analysis documentation.

Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning activities.

Conduct research and analysis to support business strategies and company initiatives.

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.

Support system improvements, software implementations, and technology-related projects.

Work with IT teams to define business requirements and improve business applications.

Prepare executive-level reports, summaries, and recommendations.

Document business processes, procedures, and workflow improvements.

Monitor project progress and assist with change management activities.

Participate in meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.

Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of company information.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in business analysis, operations analysis, reporting, process improvement, or a related role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyze large amounts of data and identify meaningful insights.

Experience creating reports, dashboards, and presentations.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.

Experience with Microsoft Office 365, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both business and non-technical audiences.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Experience documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote teams.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in transportation, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations environments.

Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

Experience with SQL, databases, reporting systems, or data visualization tools.

Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and business applications.

Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.

Experience supporting technology implementations and system enhancements.

Professional certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or similar credentials.

Work Environment

This is a full-time remote position. Employees are expected to maintain a professional home office environment with reliable high-speed internet and the ability to collaborate effectively through digital communication tools.

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility required to support projects, business reviews, system implementations, and time-sensitive reporting requirements.
