POSITION PURPOSE
Will work with the Business Intelligence team focused on providing solutions to complex business problems through the configuration, integration, testing and support of our software applications. Requires project management experience and a strong technical background. Also serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Also requires a blend of analytical skills as well as extensive user interaction and great interpersonal skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions
- Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology
- Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the BI team and manages changes to such specifications
- Update, implement and maintain procedures
- Perform some User Acceptance Testing
- Assist in the definition of project scope and success criteria
- Prepares business cases including cost/benefit analysis for proposed processes
- Develops reports and documents for existing business processes and business rules
- Adheres to IT policies and procedures and industry accepted practice
- Conducts post implementation review and document goal attainment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role has no supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems or equivalent Project management certification a plus
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst 3+ years managing and/or leading IT project implementations 3-5 years of experience in financial/banking industry a plus SKILLS/ABILITIES: Experience in business analysis in an Agile environment. Experience with agile work organizations tools (Azure DevOps, Basecamp). Have a solid understanding of software development life cycles. Strong technical background allowing to provide credible leadership to the BI team and accurately evaluate complex project risks and issues. A solid understanding of how APIs and databases function at a high level. Experience creating functional requirements and use cases. Experience implementing technology applications. Excellent organizational and analytical skills are essential. Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes and can establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and other departments/agencies. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Excellent documentation skills. Must be willing to work after-hours. Must work well in a team environment. Must be able to interface with users and vendors Must have sense of urgency and ownership to support financial applications, with architectural and system component knowledge preferred Proficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy. Must be a self-starter that is driven to understand and complete tasks within the guidelines and timeframes assigned.

AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data establish facts and draw conclusions.
Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; and ratio, proportion, and percentage.
Able to perform very simple algebra.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.
Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
Ability to conduct training, communicates at panel discussions, and make professional presentations.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. 40 hours per week
