About This Opportunity

Join our team as a Database Engineer supporting mission-critical SQL Server and Oracle environments. You'll design and develop database solutions, create and maintain stored procedures and other database objects, optimize query performance, implement data archival strategies, and ensure database changes follow best practices. Responsibilities

  • Provide database design, development, and support to SQL Server and Oracle database applications
  • Design database objects such as tables and stored procedures based on business requirements
  • Create / maintain complex stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, and objects
  • Implement data archival strategy for transaction processing systems
  • Review and approve of database changes involving tables, stored procedures, SQL agent jobs, etc.
  • Conduct performance evaluation and tuning of long running queries
  • Knowledge of best practices and development standards
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GI

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience reviewing / auditing large number of database objects (procedures, tables, functions and views) and dependencies
  • Strong database performance tuning knowledge
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to change priorities quickly and capacity to handle multiple tasks
