Cloud Solution Architect – GitHub Enterprise Server
Job Description
We seek an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to lead the architecture and optimization of GitHub Enterprise Server environments. This role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing platforms for global development teams, ensuring operational excellence and enhancing developer productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership
- Design and implement enterprise-grade GitHub Enterprise Server solutions.
- Develop modernization strategies and performance optimizations.
- Provide architectural governance and best-practice guidance across DevOps and platform engineering teams.
Platform Management
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and optimization of GitHub Enterprise Server environments.
- Architect high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.
- Design enterprise integration strategies with identity, security, monitoring, ticketing, and CI/CD systems.
Performance Tuning
- Conduct health assessments and optimize system performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions proactively.
Infrastructure & Operations
- Provide architectural oversight for Linux-based platform infrastructure.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure platform stability and compliance.
- Design monitoring, observability, automation, and operational excellence frameworks.
Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers and guiding best practices.
- Engage with stakeholders to align platform strategies with business objectives
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 10-15y+ years in architecture, 5+ years with GitHub Enterprise Server.
- Skills: Proficiency in Linux administration, network architecture, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Full professional proficiency in both English and German
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in DevOps transformations and hybrid infrastructure.
- Knowledge of IaC, monitoring, and observability tools.
