The Opportunity:
The Solution Delivery team partners with teams across the organization to deliver technology and business improvement initiatives. Our projects include finance systems, care applications, operational improvements, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives that help our business operate more effectively.
We are looking for a bilingual Project Manager who thrives on delivering meaningful change. This role is ideal for someone who builds strong relationships, works well through ambiguity, and keeps projects moving by bringing people together, solving problems, and driving decisions.
Please note: Chartwell operates residences across Canada, including Quebec. Fluency in both English and French is required to effectively communicate with stakeholders and support project delivery across the organization.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead technology and business improvement projects from planning through implementation.
- Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to deliver successful outcomes.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, remove roadblocks, and manage risks to keep projects on track.
- Balance scope, budget, timelines, and business priorities while maintaining momentum.
- Support the successful adoption of new processes and technology.
- Look for opportunities to simplify delivery and improve how projects are executed.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English and French) with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading technology or business transformation projects.
- Experience delivering enterprise software or systems implementations.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to build trusted relationships, navigate ambiguity, and keep projects moving.
- A practical, adaptable approach with a focus on delivering results.
- Experience in retirement living, healthcare, finance, or another complex business environment is an asset, but not required.

- Comfortable communicating with senior and executive leaders, facilitating discussions, and presenting recommendations.
- Collaborative and practical, with the ability to work effectively with business teams, technical teams, and vendors.
- Looks for opportunities to simplify processes, improve delivery, and support successful change.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work environment, with a combination of remote and in-office work.
- Occasional travel within Canada, including Quebec, to support project planning, workshops, training, and go-live activities.
- Ability to work flexible hours on occasion to support project milestones.
- Frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams, business leaders, vendors, and external partners.
- May occasionally be required to work outside of regular business hours during critical project implementations or go-live activities.
