Your mission

In collaboration with a leading vehicle manufacturer, we support the evolution of digital in-vehicle and mobility experiences.

You understand that outstanding digital products emerge through scalable systems, efficient workflows, and close collaboration between design and engineering. We are looking for a proven specialist who can shape, scale, and operationalize enterprise-grade design systems within complex environments, multi-product platforms

Description

Your Tasks

  • You drive the evolution, structure, and governance of an existing complex design system, ensuring systemic consistency across multiple surfaces, resolutions, and themes
  • You manage and structure scalable building blocks in Figma (component libraries, token strategies, variants, variables, and modes) for seamless handoff to engineering
  • You serve as a key point of contact, liaising directly with clients and cross-functional teams (UX, engineering, product) to guide system decisions and align vision with execution
  • You understand how to structure design systems so they are optimized as foundational building blocks for future AI-supported operations
  • You create clear documentation, specs, and system rules to make components easily accessible for multi-team implementation

Your profile

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Interaction Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, HCI, Design, or a related discipline) accompanied by 3+ years of professional experience in Product Design or Design Systems
  • Proven experience in Design Systems and/or DesignOps with a strong grasp of enterprise-grade component architecture
  • Deep expertise in advanced Figma capabilities (Auto Layout, tokens, variables, shared libraries, versioning, and branching)
  • You have a strong understanding of visual identity systems - typography, layout, and color - and know how to apply brand consistently across digital products
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients, present technical system choices, and bridge the gap between design intent and engineering
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and trust in collaborating with clients on unreleased products and proprietary design infrastructure
  • You think modularly and structurally rather than focusing on single-screen UI design ("system over re-design")
  • Experience in mobility, automotive (HMI, commercial vehicles, Android Automotive OS), or complex product ecosystems is highly beneficial
  • Excellent English (C1 level) is required, as you will be working directly with international client teams and internal stakeholders

Tech Stack

We Offer

  • Participation as a central team member of a dynamic design consultancy, self-determined and independent work with direct connection to our partners, management and colleagues
  • The best team in the world :)
  • Flat hierarchies and the opportunity to contribute and implement your own ideas
  • A lot of personal responsibility, room for creativity and personal development, and thus the chance to grow together with the company
  • 30 days paid vacation, hybrid-work and meditation to promote work-life balance
  • We balance work with family and private life (with a potential four day week if needed)
  • Inhouse coaching and mentoring

We are pleased to meet you!

We value diversity and therefore welcome all applications – regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion/beliefs, disability, age, and sexual orientation and identity. quote

About us

Who we are    As an ambitious design consultancy we collaborate with our clients and see our work together as a partnership. We aim for high quality standards while staying humble. We are unconventional. Sometimes a detour is the fastest way to the goal. We are constantly striving to improve. We leave our comfort zones and grow together as a team and individuals because we support each other. And also we have a lot of fun together and give everyone the chance to contribute to our vibrant team culture. Everyone’s input is valid and appreciated.

How we work Our interaction designers work in agile and interdisciplinary teams on websites and platforms for major brands as well as for startups. Our teams combine conceptual thinking, a sophisticated understanding of design and a deep knowledge of web and app development to develop a digital product or service with a user-centric approach. In doing so, we advise and coach our clients' teams to provide the best customer experience for their customers.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you! One more thing, never fear to apply initiative. We understand: a lack of confidence can sometimes keep us from applying for a job. But guess what?!  There is no such thing as the perfect applicant. That's why we encourage you to apply to us.
