Babcock is looking for a Support Engineer to join the Platform Support Team based in Devonport, Auckland.

About the role

Join Babcock’s Platform Support Team as a Support Engineer and play a pivotal role in supporting the Royal New Zealand Navy. You’ll be part of a high-performing team delivering critical services under the Commercial Management of Ships in Maintenance (CMSM) contract. From managing Safe Systems of Work to responding to onboard emergencies, your expertise will directly contribute to national defence readiness. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where your leadership and technical skills will shine.

About you

You are a seasoned marine engineer with a strong safety mindset and leadership experience in maritime environments. You thrive in high-pressure situations, confidently managing incident responses and on-call duties. Your communication skills are sharp, and you’re known for solving problems with practical, independent thinking. You’re passionate about continuous improvement and take pride in mentoring others.
