Simpson General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).

In this role, you will work with patients who are managing mental health and behavioral health conditions. You will provide nursing care, support treatment goals, educate patients and families, and work closely with physicians, therapists, and other members of the treatment team.

What You Will Do

  • Complete nursing assessments during the admission process.
  • Develop and update patient care plans.
  • Carry out physician orders and nursing interventions.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
  • Lead and document psychoeducational groups.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment, medications, and discharge plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate nursing care.
  • Support quality improvement activities and chart audits.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Mississippi Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • At least two years of psychiatric nursing experience.

Preferred

  • ACLS certification.
  • Experience in behavioral health, IOP, PHP, or outpatient mental health programs.
