Why Join Aqovia?

We don’t just build software, we engineer impact. Aqovia is an international technology firm and strategic incubator creating real-world value through AI, data, and bespoke software solutions. By joining us, you’ll work within a dynamic ecosystem that spans FinTech, EdTech, and Healthcare, ensuring the work you do today shapes the industries of tomorrow.

We’re looking for a visionary Lead Flutter Engineer in Pakistan to spearhead our mobile ecosystem and drive high-performance architecture.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an expert Senior Mobile/Flutter Engineer to own the architecture, development, and strategy for our white-labeled FinTech (BaaS) platform. You will serve as the primary technical owner of our Flutter frontend and Firebase Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) stack, combining hands-on execution with architectural leadership to build a high-performance, composable, and customizable financial app.

Core Technical Responsibilities

  • Flutter Mobile App: Lead development of a modular, tenant-configurable mobile app with clean, testable code.
  • Firebase BFF Architecture: Architect and implement the Firebase Backend-for-Frontend using TypeScript/Node.js Cloud Functions.
  • Azure Integration ("The Seam"):
  • Outbound: Route authenticated user requests to Azure financial services via Cloud Functions.
  • Inbound: Secure HTTP Cloud Functions to catch Azure webhooks and update Firestore state.
  • Database & Security: Design high-performance, denormalized Firestore schemas for real-time UI updates; manage Firebase Auth and enforce strict Firestore/Storage security rules.
  • Services Integration: Manage Firebase Cloud Storage for user document handling (KYC/statements) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications.

Architectural & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Technical Ownership: Serve as the technical lead for mobile and BFF platforms, driving scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Multi-Tenancy & Provisioning: Maintain JSON/asset theme engines for white-labeling and use Terraform (IaC) to automate isolated Firebase project deployment.
  • Modular Strategy: Build a plug-and-play feature architecture so tenants can easily enable or disable specific app capabilities.
  • Standards & Mentorship: Define coding standards, state management patterns (Riverpod/Bloc), and conduct code reviews to mentor mid/junior engineers.
  • DevOps & Strategy: Maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Codemagic) and collaborate with Product/Azure teams on API contracts and technical roadmaps.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Expert-level proficiency in Flutter & Dart, with a portfolio of complex, high-performance apps shipped to both iOS and Android.
  • Deep, production-grade expertise across the Firebase suite: Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Functions (Node.js/TypeScript), Cloud Storage, and FCM.
  • Proven experience building a Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture using Cloud Functions or similar serverless technology.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with direct experience using Terraform being a major plus.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and managing complex Firestore data models (denormalization) and writing secure, efficient Security Rules.
  • Expertise in modern Flutter state management (e.g., Riverpod, Bloc), asynchronous programming (Streams), and dependency injection.
  • Strong familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs, handling webhooks, and working with JSON/ID Tokens.
  • A "lead" mindset: high sense of ownership, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in the FinTech, banking, or financial services industry.
  • Experience with the Azure ecosystem (even if just from an integration perspective).
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks for Flutter (e.g., flutter_test, patrol).
  • Knowledge of native mobile development (Kotlin/Swift) for potential custom integrations.
