About the Role
Ascension Business Solutions LLC is seeking a highly accountable, execution-driven Internal Project Manager to lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives across the organization.
This is not an assistant or coordination-only role. It is an ownership role.
The Internal Project Manager turns leadership direction, business challenges, and improvement opportunities into structured projects with defined scope, timelines, KPIs, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
Projects may include:
- Operational improvement
- Cost-saving initiatives
- Revenue-generating projects
- Process optimization and automation
- New service launches
- System implementations
- Cross-department improvement initiatives
In addition to leadership-assigned projects, the Project Manager is expected to proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen operations, increase capacity, or generate revenue.
The successful candidate must work effectively with minimal supervision, independently drive execution, and maintain accountability across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Execution
- Turn business objectives into structured project plans.
- Define scope, timelines, deliverables, owners, and success metrics.
- Lead projects from planning through implementation and completion.
- Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Hold stakeholders accountable for actions and deadlines.
- Escalate blockers early with recommended solutions.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and achieve intended outcomes.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficient, outdated, manual, or high-risk processes.
- Recommend automation, standardization, and process simplification.
- Identify cost-saving and revenue-generating opportunities.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring operational issues.
- Develop practical business cases and recommendations for leadership.
- Improve productivity, quality, capacity, efficiency, and scalability.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate projects across Sales, Recruitment, Training & Development, Operations, CRM/Client Relations, Client Success, Finance, HR, and MIS/IT.
- Lead structured project meetings with clear actions, owners, and deadlines.
- Improve cross-department handoffs and reduce execution delays.
- Ensure responsibilities, requirements, and expectations are clearly defined.
Process & Systems Implementation
- Build and improve SOPs, workflows, process maps, trackers, and reporting structures.
- Coordinate implementation of CRM, HRIS, project management, and operational systems.
- Ensure processes are documented, centralized, and scalable.
- Monitor adoption and address implementation gaps.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Define measurable KPIs for each project.
- Establish baseline performance when applicable.
- Track operational and financial impact.
- Provide leadership updates on status, risks, decisions, and results.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to confirm expected outcomes.
New Service & Strategic Initiatives
- Coordinate new service and major initiative launches.
- Align Recruitment, Training, Operations, Sales, and Client Success requirements.
- Confirm staffing, processes, training, systems, and reporting are ready before launch.
- Monitor implementation and stabilization after rollout.
Level of Independence
The Internal Project Manager is expected to:
- Work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Take initiative without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Independently manage day-to-day project execution.
- Proactively identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Create structure when requirements are unclear.
- Maintain momentum across departments.
- Know when to make independent decisions and when leadership approval is required.
Leadership provides strategic direction, approvals, and escalation support. The Project Manager owns execution.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Performance may include:
- Percentage of projects completed on time
- Achievement of project KPIs and objectives
- Reduction in process and cross-team delays
- Verified cost savings
- Revenue or capacity impact
- Improvement in operational KPIs
- SOP/process adoption and compliance
- Successful launch of new services or initiatives
- Number and quality of improvement opportunities independently identified and implemented
Qualifications:
Required Experience
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Operations, Process Improvement, Program Management, Business Transformation, or a related field.
- Proven experience independently managing projects from planning through implementation.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Experience developing or improving processes and systems.
- Strong understanding of KPIs, operational metrics, and project reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Engineering graduates are strongly preferred, including Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or related disciplines.
- Candidates with equivalent analytical, business, operations, or process improvement backgrounds may also be considered.
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare, home care, BPO, outsourcing, professional services, or other service-based organizations.
- Scaling or growth-stage companies.
- Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence.
- Cost-saving, automation, revenue-generating, or new service launch projects.
- ROI or cost-benefit analysis development.
Certifications – Strong Advantage
Relevant certifications are not required but are considered a plus, including:
- PMP
- CAPM
- PRINCE2
- Agile / Scrum certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or higher
- Other recognized Project Management or Continuous Improvement certifications
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project ownership and execution

- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Professional accountability management
- Strong documentation and process discipline
- Project management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, or similar
- CRM familiarity; GoHighLevel preferred
- HRIS familiarity; BambooHR is a plus
- Strong spreadsheet, reporting, and data analysis skills
Scope Boundaries (Non-Negotiable)
The Internal Project Manager:
- Does not independently redefine company strategy.
- Does not bypass department heads without proper coordination or escalation.
- Does not make major organizational, financial, or policy decisions outside delegated authority.
- Does not replace functional department leaders.
- Does not simply track projects. The role actively drives projects toward completion and measurable results.
