Embark within MCB’s Risk Strategic Business Unit (SBU) is an exciting opportunity and establishes a solid foundation for a career in banking.
As part of Risk SBU, the Market Risk & Product Control BU exercises independent oversight and control over traded and non-traded market and liquidity risk exposures.
Your responsibility as a Product Control Analyst will be to coordinate the analysis and the reporting of Traded Risk data, including Market Data but also the accounting data. This role includes preparing comprehensive risk reports and enhancing risk awareness for submission to senior management, Board Committees, and regulatory bodies.

In this role you will,
- Perform daily certification of P&L and FX positions;
- Ensure balance sheet substantiation and related controls;
- Prepare client valuation and financial reports;
- Oversee market data governance and controls;
- Identify, investigate, and promptly escalate breaches, control weaknesses, and risk-related concerns;
- Produce market and macroeconomic analysis to support Risk team;
- Prepare reports and presentations for management committees and regulatory submissions;
- Provide market data expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders;
- Participate in system upgrades, new implementations, and change initiatives to meet regulatory and business requirements;
- Support the Executives and Manager on stress testing, risk appetite, dynamic simulations, and other risk-related initiatives across the Bank.

We are looking for candidates who has a minimum of:
EITHER
- A completed degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Business, Risk Management;
- At least 1 year’s working experience in either of the following fields: Product Control, Middle Office, Market Risk, Reporting or Treasury IT.
OR
- 2 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Control, Market Risk, Treasury, Accounting or IT Treasury domain.
AND
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting related to Product Control and Market Risk;
- Familiarity with FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives and other Treasury Products, or previous experience in Market Data;
- Good understanding of Product Control and Market Risk concepts;
- Excel is an essential skill and Reporting skills with Power BI/Python knowledge would be an advantage.
A combination of both qualifications & experience will be considered.
