Role PurposeThe Electrical Engineer provides technical leadership and oversight of commissioning activities, managing risk, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring overall compliance with commissioning strategy and client requirements.

This role acts as the primary technical authority on site for commissioning matters.

Key Responsibilities:

L2 – Installation Verification

  • Define L2 acceptance criteria and readiness gates.
  • Oversee installation verification across multiple systems or zones.
  • Resolve complex installation and interface issues.

L3 – Individual Element Commissioning

  • Approve element-level commissioning strategies and outcomes.
  • Review settings, sequences, and protection philosophies.
  • Mentor Engineers and Inspectors.

L4 – System Functional Testing

  • Lead system functional testing strategy and execution.
  • Validate system performance under all defined operating modes.
  • Manage technical risk during abnormal and failure testing.

L5 – Integrated Systems Testing

  • Lead and control Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
  • Demonstrate redundancy, resilience, and failure-recovery compliance.
  • Support final acceptance, operational readiness, and live-load transition.

Authority & Decision-Making

  • Full technical authority for commissioning sign-off within assigned scope.
  • Authority to halt commissioning activities due to risk or non-compliance.

Typical Experience & Skills

  • 4-6 years commissioning experience in mission-critical facilities.
  • Data Centre delivery background.
  • Confident stakeholder leadership and risk management capability.
