About Global Delivery Services

Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

• 10+ years of experience in respective domain.

• Solution Architecture

• Lead end-to-end solutioning activities for SAP transformation opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, and proposal responses.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, account teams, and subject matter experts to define winning SAP solution strategies aligned with client requirements

• Lead end-to-end SAP solution architecture across core SAP S/4HANA business processes and cross-workstream integration points.

• Translate business requirements and process designs into scalable SAP architecture, including fit-to-standard, extension, integration, reporting, security, and data considerations.

• Provide architecture oversight for SAP modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Transportation, and HR interfaces, as applicable to the program scope.

• Define and govern solution principles, architectural guardrails, design decisions, and key integration patterns across SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Review functional and technical solution documents to ensure design completeness, consistency, and alignment with SAP best practices.

Delivery Governance & Program Leadership

• Support full lifecycle SAP program delivery from discovery, design and build through testing, cutover, deployment, hypercare, and stabilization.

• Drive architecture governance forums, solution review boards, design workshops, risk reviews, and key decision-making discussions.

• Partner with project managers, workstream leads, technical leads, and client stakeholders to manage scope, dependencies, delivery plans, risks, issues, and quality gates.

• Identify cross-functional gaps early and coordinate resolution across business process, application, integration, data, security, infrastructure, and change teams.

• Prepare leadership-ready architecture updates, decision papers, options analysis, and steering committee inputs.

Integration, Data & Technical Oversight

• Provide oversight for SAP integration architecture using SAP BTP, CPI, PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, RFCs, event-driven patterns, middleware, and third-party platforms.

• Collaborate with data migration teams on data strategy, conversion design, mock migration planning, reconciliation, validation, cutover sequencing, and defect resolution.

• Assess custom developments, enhancements, RICEFW objects, forms, workflows, reports, and extensions to ensure maintainability and clean-core alignment.

• Guide technical teams on architecture fitment across SAP S/4HANA, SAP RISE, BTP services, cloud integrations, analytics, identity, authorization, and infrastructure dependencies.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate, fit-to-standard principles, agile delivery practices, documentation standards, and program quality gates.

• Conduct solution walkthroughs, design validations, test readiness reviews, cutover readiness checkpoints, and post-go-live stabilization reviews.

• Promote reusable assets, templates, accelerators, architectural playbooks, and delivery improvements across the SAP Architecture Team.

• Drive proactive risk identification and mitigation planning across architecture, integration, data migration, performance, security, and operational readiness.

Skills and attributes for success

Core SAP & Transformation Expertise

• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, SAP Activate methodology, enterprise process integration, and large transformation delivery models.

• Broad knowledge of SAP functional domains and cross-module integration across finance, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, maintenance, quality, sales, and related business areas.

• Ability to evaluate business requirements, solution options, SAP standard capabilities, custom extension needs, integration requirements, and downstream operational implications.

• Experience with ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation, brownfield, greenfield, selective data transition, or hybrid delivery approaches.

Technical Architecture Skills

• Working knowledge of SAP BTP, CPI, PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, CDS views, Fiori, roles and authorizations, analytics, workflow, and cloud integration principles.

• Understanding of SAP RISE, hyperscaler environments, network/security dependencies, transport strategy, landscape planning, and operational readiness.

• Experience reviewing RICEFW scope, custom code remediation, simplification items, integration inventory, interface rationalization, and technical debt reduction.

• Knowledge of data migration strategy, master data governance, reconciliation, validation, migration cockpit, ETL tools, and cutover execution.

Leadership & Consulting Skills

• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to engage business leaders, IT leadership, global process owners, vendors, and delivery teams.

• Ability to simplify complex SAP concepts into clear, actionable messages for leadership and project teams.

• Proven ability to lead distributed teams, manage ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and drive decisions in complex transformation environments.

• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
