About the opportunity
Drive the expansion of a high-impact healthcare data platform while leading technical standards, scaling distributed infrastructure, and launching AI initiatives.
About our client
Our client provides API infrastructure for the health insurance and employee benefits ecosystem - connecting exchange data, enrollment, and market insights through a single integration point.
What you'll do
• Build and expand our healthcare data platform and member management solution.
• Write high quality code through various channels and in collaboration with the Product team.
• Have a high degree of autonomy and influence on the culture and direction of the technical organization.
• Take unstructured problems and own projects end-to-end.
• Scale infrastructure that connects health insurance carriers and technology partners.
• Improve engineering standards and processes.
• Mentor junior engineers.
What you bring (must-haves)
• Hands-on experience with building and launching AI projects.
• Care deeply about your software development craft and writing high quality code.
• Have experience in designing, building and maintaining APIs.
• At least 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Have a high degree of proficiency in Rust.
• Thrive in highly collaborative engineering teams.
• Emphasize transparent and positive communication.
Bonus points for (nice-to-haves)
• Familiarity with Ruby.
• Experience with DevOps tooling: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform.
• Exposure to observability tools such as Datadog.
• Experience in performance monitoring, incident handling, or CI/CD process optimization.
• Background in large-scale distributed systems or infrastructure-heavy products.
