Full description
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Product Designer to help shape intuitive, trusted, and outcome-driven experiences for an enterprise AI platform. This role sits at the intersection of product thinking, UI/UX design, customer discovery, and responsible AI interaction design. The ideal candidate is a strong product person with deep UI/UX craft, the ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into clear product experiences, and a strong sense of ownership for AI product outcomes.
The Product Designer will partner closely with Product, Engineering, AI/ML, Customer Success, and enterprise customers to define workflows, prototype solutions, validate usability, and ensure AI-powered capabilities are practical, explainable, trustworthy, and aligned with measurable business value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Ownership
· Own the product design process from discovery through launch, including problem definition, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, validation, and post-launch iteration.
· Translate complex enterprise customer needs, workflows, and business objectives into clear, usable, and scalable AI product experiences.
· Partner with Product Management to define product requirements, prioritize user problems, assess tradeoffs, and connect design decisions to measurable product outcomes.
· Act as a directly responsible owner for assigned design initiatives, driving clarity, momentum, decision-making, and delivery across cross-functional teams.
· Use customer insights, usage data, research findings, and business goals to inform product direction and improve adoption, retention, trust, and customer value.
AI Product Experience and Responsible Design
· Design AI-native workflows, interfaces, and interaction patterns that make advanced AI capabilities approachable, useful, and trustworthy for enterprise users.
· Create experiences that clearly communicate AI recommendations, system behavior, model limitations, confidence, uncertainty, and user control.
· Collaborate with AI/ML, engineering, and product teams to evaluate where AI adds meaningful value and where simpler workflows may better serve user needs.
· Support responsible AI practices by considering transparency, explainability, data sensitivity, bias mitigation, privacy, security, and enterprise risk throughout the design process.
· Design feedback loops that help users correct, refine, approve, reject, or improve AI-generated outputs while strengthening product quality over time.
UI/UX Design and Research
· Conduct user research, discovery interviews, usability testing, and workflow analysis with enterprise users and internal stakeholders.
· Design end-to-end user journeys, information architecture, interaction models, dashboards, data-heavy workflows, and high-quality visual interfaces.
· Create wireframes, journey maps, clickable prototypes, and polished UI designs that communicate concepts clearly and enable rapid validation.
· Develop and maintain reusable design patterns, interface standards, and design system components that improve consistency and speed across the product.
· Balance user needs, business priorities, technical constraints, accessibility standards, and enterprise usability expectations in all design work.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Delivery
· Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible, clearly specified, and implemented with quality and fidelity.
· Partner with customer-facing teams to understand enterprise use cases, onboarding needs, customer pain points, and adoption barriers.
· Communicate design rationale, user insights, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
· Move quickly in ambiguous environments, using prototypes, evidence, and iteration to reduce uncertainty and improve outcomes.
· Contribute to a high-ownership culture focused on customer value, product quality, responsible AI, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
· 5+ years of product design, UX design, interaction design, or related experience, preferably within B2B SaaS, enterprise software, AI products, or complex workflow platforms.
· Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design ownership, including research, UX strategy, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, validation, and shipped product impact.
· Deep understanding of UI/UX principles, information architecture, usability, human-centered design, accessibility, and design systems.
· Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into clear product experiences and practical design solutions.
· Experience designing complex workflows, dashboards, data-rich interfaces, or enterprise tools used by multiple user types.
· Strong product judgment, business orientation, and ability to connect design decisions to customer outcomes, adoption, efficiency, trust, and measurable value.
· Excellent collaboration and communication skills with product managers, engineers, AI/ML teams, executives, and customers.
· Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma or comparable platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience designing AI, machine learning, LLM, generative AI, agentic workflows, conversational interfaces, or intelligent automation experiences.
· Experience working in an early-stage, high-growth, or zero-to-one product environment.
· Familiarity with responsible AI design principles, model evaluation concepts, prompt-based workflows, human-in-the-loop systems, or enterprise AI governance considerations.
· Comfort rapidly prototyping with AI-enabled tools, low-code/no-code platforms, front-end concepts, or collaborative engineering workflows.
· Experience supporting enterprise customers, regulated environments, secure SaaS platforms, or products with high trust and compliance expectations.
Key Competencies
· Strong product thinking and ownership mindset
· High-quality UI, UX, interaction, and visual design craft
· Customer empathy and enterprise workflow understanding
· Ability to simplify complex AI capabilities into intuitive experiences
· Responsible AI awareness, judgment, and risk sensitivity
· Strong prototyping, research, and validation discipline
· Clear communication, collaboration, and stakeholder alignment
· Comfort operating in ambiguity with urgency and accountability
Measures of Success
· Delivers product experiences that improve enterprise user efficiency, adoption, trust, and measurable customer outcomes.
· Ships high-quality designs that are validated with users, clearly specified, technically feasible, and implemented with strong design fidelity.
· Creates intuitive AI interactions that help users understand, control, and benefit from AI-powered functionality.
· Improves product consistency and team velocity through reusable design patterns, design system contributions, and clear documentation.
· Builds credibility as a product-minded design owner who drives clarity, accountability, and cross-functional alignment from concept through launch.
