Full description
Own a Fortune-scale network security backbone. Not babysit one.
A major financial services enterprise needs someone who can walk in, take real ownership of their Fortinet infrastructure, and run it like it's theirs. Not a support seat. Not a ticket queue. Actual ownership across a global, multi-site environment where the stakes, and the trust placed in you, are real.
What you'll own
- The day-to-day of enterprise Fortinet infrastructure in a high-security financial environment, the kind of environment where your judgment matters
- Building the methods of procedure that keep migrations, upgrades, and releases clean and audit-ready
- Testing new features and releases before they ever touch production
- Being the person who evaluates how third-party devices work with Fortinet, not just takes someone else's word for it
- Training client staff so they grow, not so they stay dependent on you
- Catching the issues that matter, before they become everyone else's problem
- 7+ years in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support, or administration
- 5+ years with network security products, including 2+ years hands-on with Fortinet specifically
- Real FortiGate firewall expertise, not just familiarity
- Fortinet SD-WAN design experience across a global, multi-site architecture
- Comfort operating in a regulated, high-stakes financial environment
- Authorization to work in the US without employer sponsorship
- ADVPN experience
Nice-to-haves that make you stand out:
- 2 to 3 Fortinet certifications, EPSP-track is ideal
- Prior professional services or consulting engineer background
- Strong grounding in switching, routing, load balancing, WiFi, IPS, VPN, antivirus/antispam, web filtering, and application control
What you'll get
Direct hire or contract flexibility, competitive rates paid and a placement with a firm that treats financial-sector security work as the specialist discipline it is.
