Job Overview

The team:

The Portfolio Reconciliation team consists of highly talented technologists, based in Stockholm, with strong skills across technology: development, UI, devops, testing, and automation. We are empowered and expected to make the technical decisions needed to deliver robust and great-looking products that meet customer needs. Everyone on the team is responsible for all parts of the system being built, run, and supported, making it an ideal place for someone who wants to expand their own technical skillset as well as grow as a leader by coaching team members. The team is responsible for designing, building, running and supporting several products within the Trade Lifecycle division.

Responsibilities and impact:

OSTTRA is a FinTech company at the heart of the global financial system, dedicated to building the future of post-trade processing. Our products within the Trade Lifecycle division cover many of these areas, such as portfolio reconciliation, risk calculations, collateral management, and settlement automation. Improving these systems has a real impact on reducing the systemic risk of the global financial market while boosting operational efficiency and producing cost savings for many of the largest banks in the world.

As a QA Engineer you will collaborate closely with our software engineers, application infrastructure team, support staff, and other product teams to maintain and improve our:

• Automated testing frameworks

• CI/CD pipeline

• Internal and external test environments

• Strategies and data for end-to-end system testing

You will also be expected to:

• Actively contribute to the development and architecture of the system to meet new and changing business needs

• Be part of the team taking care of the overall system health

• Mentor colleagues

• Engage with your peers in the wider organization to share knowledge and expertise

What we’re looking for:

Fundamental requirement:

• Strong ownership and responsibility traits

• Wide experience from working in software development teams

• Excellent communication skills

• Business mindedness and a solution-oriented mindset

• An aptitude and willingness to improve yourself and others

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an autonomous and collaborative environment

• Someone who will work from the office at least 3 days per week

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering of which 5+ years doing QA automation

Additional preferred requirements:

• A master’s degree in computer science or a similar field

• An interest in financial markets

• Experience in some of the following: JIRA, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Github, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium, Playwright, Django, Python, MySQL, Elasticsearch
